TV Licensing savings card

If you already have a licence, a TV Licensing savings card is a simple way to save for your next one.

Pay into an account, and we’ll take the payment from your balance when your next licence is due. You can make a deposit whenever you like, and the minimum payment is £2.00.

If you don’t already have a TV Licensing savings card, apply by calling 0300 555 0281*.

It’s free to apply, and there’s no charge for using it.

How it works

  1. Save whenever you like, from £2.00
You can make deposits online, at any PayPoint store, or by phone. See below to find out how. Deposits take 24 hours to show on your savings card.
  2. It’s easy to check your balance, and completely secure
You can check your balance online and view your last 10 payments. You can also call 0300 555 0281*. We’ll also send you statements twice a year. Your deposits are safe, even if you lose your savings card, and no one else can take your savings or use it to buy their TV Licence.
  3. We’ll send you your next licence automatically
If you’ve saved enough for your next licence, we’ll send it to you automatically at the beginning of the month that your existing licence expires. If you haven’t, we’ll let you know how much you still need to save. If you’ve saved more money than you need, we’ll put it towards the following year’s licence.
