How can I get a refund?

You can apply for a refund up to 14 days before the date you no longer need the TV Licence.

How do I apply?

You can claim a refund online. We aim to process and issue refunds within 21 days of receiving your application. Any refund due to you will be paid to you by either a cheque or by BACS transfer directly into your bank account.

If we approve your refund, your licence will be cancelled automatically. If you’re not eligible for a refund, you can still cancel your licence online.

Moving home?

Remember – if you’re moving home, you should move your licence rather than ask for a refund.

When does my licence expire?
