To change or update your bank details online, you’ll need to have to have the following to hand:

your postcode

the bank details we hold for you (sort code and account number).

If you move home you’ll need to change the correspondence address to ensure you receive reminders and payment plan updates.

Change your current payment method or scheme, for example from yearly to monthly.
To change the date we take your Direct Debit payment, please sign in and update your details online. To do this you’ll need to enter your licence number, last name, and postcode.

You will need to update your bank details for you TV Licence if you:

need to update or change how your Direct Debit payments are managed
What happens if I don't update my TV Licence bank account details in time?
If your TV Licence fails because you haven't updated your bank details, you will need to change them on your account as soon as possible. If you don't, you will no longer be covered by a TV Licence. This means you won't be able to legally watch or record live TV or use BBC iPlayer until you've changed or updated your bank details.
