How can I check my TV Licensing payment or savings card balance?

TV Licensing Payment card

You can check your TV Licensing payment card balance by either:

  • Signing into your TV Licensing payment card to view your payment history and balance
  • Calling our 24 hour automated enquiry service on 0300 555 0286*
  • Texting** INFO along with your Customer Number (eg: INFO 123456789) to 64488

TV Licensing Savings card

Every six months, we'll send you a statement showing all the savings you've made for that period and when you made them.

If you would like to check your balance you can by:

  • Signing in to your TV Licensing savings card to view your payment history and balance
  • Calling our 24 hour automated enquiry service on 0300 555 0281*
  • Texting** INFO along with your Customer Number (eg: INFO 123456789) to 64488

Please note that it may take 48 hours from the time you make a payment for it to appear on your payment history.

**All texts and calls will be charged at your standard rate set by your service provider.


How can I check my TV Licence payment plan to see my next Direct Debit payment?

You can check the date and amount of your next Direct Debit payment when you sign in to view your licence. Just check ‘payment details’ below your licence. You’ll need your TV Licence number to do this.

I want to see my payment schedule and check how much I owe

Once you’ve signed in to view your licence, please choose ‘view my payment plan’ and enter the bank details we hold for you (sort code and account number). You can then:

  • View your payment schedule
  • Change your payment date or bank details
  • Change Direct Debit payer details (if someone else pays for your licence);
  • Print or save your payment plan and TV Licence

I’m struggling to provide the correct bank details – why do you need them?

We ask for your bank details as an extra security measure to protect your personal information. We want to be sure that you are the person who pays for this TV Licence.

You’ll need the account details you use to make payments to TV Licensing. You could try searching your bank statement for ‘TV Licensing’.

*Calls to our 0300 numbers cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02 number, whether from a mobile or landline. If you get inclusive minutes, calls to an 0300 number will be included free of charge.
