How to move a TV Licence to a new home:

When you move home, your TV Licence doesn’t automatically move with you. So, you will need to update your licence with your new address details.

To do this, you will need to:

  • Sign in to our website using your TV Licence number. You will also need to give us your last name and the postcode that’s on your TV Licence.
  • Follow the steps you’ll be given when you are signed in.

Don't know your licence number?

You can let us know you are moving up to 3 months before you move.

What to do if you are moving into a residential care home:

If you move into a care home, where you live with other people and have staff to look after you, your TV Licence may only cost £7.50 for a year.

Ask the person in charge of the home to apply for a TV Licence for you.
