My TV Licensing savings or payment card is lost, stolen, or damaged

Your savings will still be safe and you will still be able to make payments towards your TV Licence (see 'How to pay until your new card arrives' below).

To order a new card

To request a replacement card please call 0300 303 8617* and let us know your:

  • licence number or customer number;
  • last name;
  • postcode.

How to pay until your new card arrives

Until you receive your new card you can still make payments using the following methods:

Online

You can make a payment online on our secure site using your debit or credit card. You can also check your balance and view your payment history online.

Text

If you've previously made a debit/credit card payment towards your TV Licence, simply text PAY followed by your customer number along with the amount you wish to pay to 64488 (e.g. to pay £6.00, text PAY 123456789 6.00). Your customer number is printed on your payment schedule. Savings card customers can also text PAY to 64488 to save towards their next TV Licence. If you haven’t already made a payment using your debit or credit card please call 0300 555 0286*.

We'll never ask you to text your full debit/credit card number or details. All texts will be charged at your standard text message cost set by your mobile phone service provider.

PayPoint store

You can make payments by cash or debit card at any PayPoint store using the barcode printed on any of the letters we've recently sent you. You will be issued with a receipt as proof of payment, which you should keep with your licence.

You can find your nearest PayPoint store at PayPoint locator. To check disabled access please call 0330 400 0000. PayPoint is not available in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man, but you can pay at your local post office.

*Calls to our 0300 numbers cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02 number, whether from a mobile or landline. If you get inclusive minutes, calls to an 0300 number will be included free of charge.
