Already told us you still don’t need a licence, but still receiving letters?

If you have recently completed a No Licence Needed declaration and have received a letter from us asking you to buy a TV Licence, please ignore it, as you do not require a TV Licence.

Your no licence needed confirmation will let you know how long it will last. After this time, we'll contact you to check if the situation remains the same.

If you made a No Licence Needed declaration at your old address and have moved home, you'll need to let us know if you still don't need a TV Licence.

Why have you sent a letter showing my old details shortly after I updated them?

If you have recently updated your details with us, this will now be saved registered on our database. However, the letter you received may have already been prepared before you updated your details.

You don't need to contact us or take any action until your current TV Licence is due for renewal, we will use your updated details next time we write to you. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
