How do I tell you about an unoccupied address or empty property?

You can tell us your property is empty, and we’ll stop sending letters to your address, for up to six months.

You can tell us when you expect your property to be occupied by using our online form (please answer ‘no’ to ‘does anyone live at the address’). If you receive a letter from us asking you to buy a TV Licence in the next few days, please ignore it, as you do not require a TV Licence.

If you already have a licence which you no longer need because your property is empty you should cancel it first.
