There are different ways you can pay for a TV Licence:
You can set up payments to be made directly from your bank account with a Direct Debit. You can:

You can use a debit card or a credit card to pay for the total amount of your TV Licence (£169.50).

Or, you can pay smaller amounts by debit or credit card if you apply for a TV Licensing payment card.
You can use this card to pay weekly or monthly over the phone, by text or online.
You can also use this card to pay using cash and debit card at any PayPoint.

PayPoints are in many shops, newsagents and supermarkets.
Pay in one go at any PayPoint
You can pay for your TV Licence at a PayPoint using cash or a debit card. You can’t use credit cards. Just tell the person behind the counter that you want to pay for a TV Licence. They will ask for your name, address and postcode. If you are renewing your TV Licence, please show them the reminder letter we sent you. Then they will do the rest.
Or pay in smaller amounts at any PayPoint
You can also spread the cost of your TV Licence by paying for it a bit at a time at any PayPoint. But first, you will need to get a TV Licensing payment card from us. To get yours, call 0300 555 0286*.
You can use this card to pay weekly or monthly by cash or debit card at any PayPoint. You can also use it to pay over the phone, by text, or online.

In the Channel Islands or on the Isle of Man, you can pay for your TV Licence at your local post office instead of a PayPoint.
The cheque has to be for the full amount of the TV Licence (£169.50). Make sure you write your name and address on the back. Send it to:
