How far in advance can I pay for my TV Licence using a debit or credit card?

If you are renewing a TV Licence, the earliest you can pay for it using a debit or credit card is the first day of the month that your TV Licence expires in. For example, if your TV Licence expires on the 30th November, the earliest you can renew it by debit or credit card is on the 1st November.

If you are buying a new TV Licence, your licence will start from the day you apply for it.
